Superking-size bed. Dual aspect room with garden view. Hotel-quality towels and bed-linen provided. Blackout curtains over privacy (not blackout) blinds. 3-seater sofa. Table and chair. Clothes storage, hairdryer. Bathroom 3 (off the hallway, see below) is convenient for this bedroom.

Walk-in shower. Electric underfloor heating (instructions by door). High-quality environmentally-friendly shampoo/conditioner and bodywash provided.

Dishwasher (a few tablets provided), 5-ring gas hob (lighter provided), oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, electric kettle, electric toaster, extractor hood and all the usual basic cooking utensils. Cutlery, crockery, glasses, mugs and tea towels. Fire blanket located by back door. Kitchen is off sitting room and leads to back door and Bathroom 4.

3-seater sofa. Round table with 4 chairs. Smart TV with Netflix and Prime. French doors to enclosed dog-proof garden. Stairs run from here. This is one of the possible places we can put spare beds if required, although they do take up most of the spare space.

In the Hallway you will find the Instruction Book and the Guest Book where you are invited to leave comments. Doors from the hall lead to Bathroom 3, the sitting room, and the Laundry. The laundry has a washing machine (with a few washing capsules provided), a tumble-dryer, an iron, water jug and ironing board, and a laundry basket. The main electricity fuse board and gas boiler are in the Laundry, accessible in case of emergency only - please contact us if you have any problems. There is also a chest of drawers and a cupboard, both locked, for staff use, and a locked door leading to the garage, which is also reserved for staff use.

There are two doors, both accessible via 6-digit keypad codes. You can request your own easy-to-remember code (eg your birthday). The front door is at the junction of Highcross Road and Hardhorn Road. The back door is accessed from the rear driveway, the entrance to which is in Highcross Road, between Nos 3 and 7 (there is no No 5).

There is parking for 3 cars, although each car will block the next one in, so you might have to juggle cars around sometimes. There is room to do this. By the back door is a portable BBQ, which you are welcome to move wherever you like. Charcoal and firelighters are not included, but we can provide them for a small extra fee upon request. Or you can pick up your favourite kind en route, as you prefer.

The main part of the garden is securely enclosed by a picket fence and is dog-proof. There are bird feeders and we are lucky to have some lovely garden birds. The garden is grass with a border. Feel free to move the table and chairs to the sunniest spot. Highcross Corner fronts a road, but it really is not too noisy and the garden feels pleasant and peaceful. The privacy is not yet as good as it will when the new hedge has had a few more years growth.
